Disappointed with Gravely

Saved up for 2 years to buy a new zero mower. Settled on a 2023 Gravely ZT 34 inch after much persuasion from Geautreaux's Power Equipment salesman (Baton Rouge, LA.).

What a dis-service to a 73 year old veteran senior citizen!! They got $4,000 from me for this mower that no doubt is an engineering defect. This mower tears the grass rather than cut it and ruts the grass causing the crowns of the grass to be crushed and then die. Your left with lines of brown tire trails and torn dying grass throughout the lawn.

My lawn that was once a proud display is ruined! After bringing the mower back to Gautreaux's, they claim they had a Gravely representative check it out. Gautreaux's said the answer from Gravely was "sorry but can't find anything wrong" !

Sad part is that Gravely is no doubt aware of this problem mower as well as Gautreaux's. Very disappointed in Gravely and will do all I can from here on to spread the word for all to beware of Gravely and to steer clear of Gautreaux's Sales in Baton Rouge.

You have a warranty do you not? Ohh wait design and engineering defect are not covered under warranty.

Most people do not know this.

Warranty if for manufacturing defect. If it is a design problem it is not covered.

Rotten wood under seat

Gravely - Rotten wood under seat

We have a Gravely zero turn. It has been in the barn since we purchased it five years ago, never left in the weather.

This year, we got it out to mow and who would have thought the bottom of the seat is wood or particle board and it has rotted. These mowers are too expensive to have that kind of seat and they don't warrant them after the first season.

We have convinced numerous friends to purchase Gravely zero turns instead of John Deere, but not anymore. I will never buy another Gravely product.

Blade's get dull quickly

It's a nice zero turn, performance is good...however for some reason the blades don't hold up for more than 3 yards .. after cutting I will have to go back over the grass again to make sure I got everything.. burning more gas , and losing time ..

We bought 2 to replace 2 8yr old exmarks . Within 30 hrs, both of the decks, warped severely, and had to be replaced with no explainable reason.

Hardly any marks or smudges any anywhere on the mowers and still looked brand new. After the dealer took several months to get them back to us they were taken off the truck to be parked and A couple of days later, when we attempted to start them, but no longer run These mowers are junk do not buy them.

They cost approximately $16,000 apiece and are unusable. The dealer just gives excuses, but no solutions.

I am writing regarding a new Gravely Commercial Pro Turn 600 Serial No. 992501, Account No.

099\119; Invoice No. 770573; Salesman 032/032, purchased on 8/30/2021 in the amount of $14,701.94 with $7,501.94 financed. Due to defects under the Universal Commercial Code I have lost all confidence of operating the mower. Within the first month of purchase, the mower would not drive forward or in reverse.

Southside came for pickup. In May '2022, I had someone to transport the mower for maintenance and once again, I was told there was another issue similarly with previous. Not once, I received a letter from Gravely-the manufacture or Southside Mower regarding an issue or recall. Around July 4, I was told by a rep at Southside, the mower should be complete, but Southside will be closed for the holiday.

Afterwards, I was told repeatedly, Southside could not get a part for repair from the manufacturer. The mower is currently at Southside mower dealer in Tallahasse, Florida and with having said, I am requesting return of $7,200 down payment posted 8/31/2021, including fees paid under express, payments made, implied, consequential, and incidental damages under federal, state, local consumer warranty. Gladly, I will return blades Inv. 770573.

My grass is still growing and having to pay others for mowing, transport including a $212 monthly payment for a mower is more than I am willing to pay for the present mower.

I can only ask. However, I need the Southside Mower-Gravely Dealer and Gravely Company to right a wrong.

Cannot find help to get a deck belt. Model number 992203 ser.number 010668

Went to a dealer trying to get help with a pto deck belt and had the broken one in my hands. He said he had 5 belts in stock and was not going to match the belt.

I said think you and left.

Called back and give him the model number and my phone number and he would call back. Three weeks this mower been down cause I can't get help with this belt.

Spindle bearing failure

Spoke with Gravely associate who was courteous, helpful and answered my questions. 2nd time this week Ive spoken with Gravely and both experiences have been positive which seems unusual since other (different) companies I call upon are not nearly as cordial.

Workmanship

I refuse to give my satisfaction rating yet. I'm working with the seller to rectify the issues involved with.

1 the fact that this is the second issue with this unit with less than 20 hour on it. The quality of workmanship is definitely a issue also. This is my 4th purchase with your company and by FAR the worst. At $ 12,300 dollars, there's a certain amount of expectations from your customers that they are buying the best you have to offer at that price.

Apparently that's is incorrect...

I will not go away, you can bank on that. I have been a VERY loyal customer and expect to be treated like one PERIOD!!!

Question about the Mais the Mach 1 known for bouncing?ch 1.

Hi. I have a 2022 Mach 1 60.

I love the way it cuts, but I have one problem, it bounces a lot, sometimes excessively no matter the speed if the terrain is not fully even. If there are any bumps at all it will bounce.

My 2021 44 ZTHD actually handles the uneven terrain better. Any ideas?
